And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven
God has put the burden in our heart to pray more earnestly for perishing souls in this land and bring rebuilding the desolated places and restoration in their life.
Nehemiah was a man of prayer. Nehemiah wept when he heard about the broken walls of Jerusalem. When the king agreed to let him repair the walls, Nehemiah encountered fierce opposition. He proclaimed “Iam doing a great work, how can I come down?.”
The God is calling men today to attempt great things and take an active role in his kingdom building programme in this land. In the midst of our trials, there is only one place you will find true strength, it is Lord’s feet where the strength comes from, As a servants of God we have a destiny as a rebuilder of the walls. Reject the voice of ridicule, don’t be afraid; Remember the Great and Awesome; and Fight!.
